Utility execs pick Cooper Power as "Best Smart Grid Solution"
Cooper Power Systems has been awarded the "Best Smart Grid Product or Solution" at the 2012 Rural Smart Grid Summit.
A total of 114 executives at rural electric cooperatives voted for Cooper Power Systems after working with 50 smart grid technology vendors.
This is the second year in a row that Cooper has received this award for its suite of automation solutions, which includes Advanced Metering Infrastructure with options for cellular, power line carrier, and radiofrequency; mesh networks to meet the needs of all types of service territories; industry leading demand response; substation automation hardware and software to integrate, automate, and manage intelligent electronic devices; distribution automation solutions, which include smart sensors, controls, relays, voltage regulators, switchgear, capacitor banks, integrated Volt/Var Control, and automatic feeder reconfiguration; and field-proven advanced energy services software and power engineering software.
Cooper Power Systems is also a supporter of the IEEE Power and Energy Systems Scholarships fund.
